Shantavia Webb

Shantavia Webb, currently the Nashville Division Human Resources Leader for the Kroger Co, is responsible for developing a high-performance culture where associates are aligned to the business strategy and receive the knowledge, training and experiences needed to deliver great customer service.

In 2003, Shantavia began her career with Kroger as an Intern, learning the various aspects of store operationswhile attending Middle Tennessee State University. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree from the university, she went on to become an Assistant Manager and Store Manager in the Nashville Division. 

In 2012 her passion for people led her to the start of a career in HR as a Human Resources Coordinator in Lexington, KY. She worked with executive leadership, subject matter experts and the Boston Consulting Group to develop and deploy the Customer 1stPromise pilot for Louisville. While in the division, Shantavia was a member of the Urban League-Lexington and was recognized as a YMCA Adult Achiever in 2014, prior to relocating back to Nashville, TN in 2015.

There she continued her career in HR as the Nashville Division Talent & Development Manager. It was in that role she was recognized by Progressive Grocer Magazine as a 2017 Top Women in Grocery – Rising Star and nominated for the 2018 GenNext Award.

In 2019, she led the training and development of high potential store leaders and district manager in partnership with the University of North Carolina as well as led learning and performance strategy for Supermarket Divisions, prior to assuming her current role in 2021.

Outside of Kroger, Shantavia is a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and the Nashville Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc and sits on the board of the Urban League of Middle Tennessee. She, her husband Gerell and daughter Amani, reside in Franklin, TN where they enjoy experiencing the various restaurants, music and entertainment Nashville and surrounding areas has to offer.
